I have recently received an email stating that I have been awarded $1800.00 for the summer 2009 language study program in Southern Italy. I would love to personally express my gratitude, but since that is not possible I would like to take the time to thank you in this letter. With the money I have received I am that much closer to my dream of studying abroad. Becoming an AFSer I hope to gain an experience of a life time, and come back a more educated, independent, and stronger student and person. I will make sure to maintain a blog that reflects my AFS experience. I am very excited to finally attain a goal of mine and learn the Italian culture and language!
